    I put together a dvd and have been selling it on the internet with some sucess. The problem is that the audio is mpg2 format and not ac3....this, as you can imagine, gets about 10% of the dvd's returned for non-compliance with customers players.

    What steps will I need to remaster the audio into ac3 and remux it back into everything?

    demux each titleset (VOBEdit can do it). Convert each audio to AC3 (ffmpeggui or besweet can do it). Let your authoring program remux the video and audio back together.

    FWIW, is it true that the TDA AC3 plugin can only re-encode to 2 channel AC3 ?
