I have an ATI AIW 9800SE with a Philips FQ1216 tuner. I want to use this card to capture camcoder movies. I use the composite signal for this. The problem is that white areas appear much too bright on the PC (using both VirtualDub and ATI MMC), whereas they look normal when I connect the VCR to the TV. I already tried three VCRs. I cannot restore the signal with the brightness control of MMC (data is probably lost at the analog to digital conversion).
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks!
