aint that a bitch.. i WORKED for Delphi until about an hour ago i knew this was comming after all the BS Delphi is going through.. I just cant beleive they didnt wait until after xmas.. i mean. i only have 4 days next week then i was off.. WTF..

LOL oh well easy come easy go.. X-mas came early this year for me and my family :P POS bosses..

yep me too.. ive already sent out 5 and its only been a little over an hour.. I've got over 15 years in engineering.. so i shouldnt have a problem.. BUT I just heard today on the news that we in MI have the highes un-employment rate in the nation of just over 7% so i might be in trouble.. im gonna have to take a job for alot less money i fear for a while.. yeah, usually 2 obstacles 1. you must be clearable (security reasons-citizen,no felonies), and 2. you must be willing to relocate (except for me, I lucked out)

Yeah, Delphi relesed a news story last week saying they are going to lay off 8500 people.. wasnt suppose to include us.. but we also got a directive to reduce costs by 8 million.. so i guess they got a small start at that today

I can only hope.. she is a recruiter for a local CO.. she said she will try to set up an interview over the phone.. so im not sure.. BUT im crossing fingers.. i have been shitting my pants for the last hour and a half.. x-mas is still screwed.. i cant hope to even start untill after the new year if i do get the job.. so but its atleast a moral booster in that i have hope.. i dotn have to think about loosing all i have to repo or foreclosure etc..

it took me 11 months last time i was laid off. mostly due to lazyness.

I'll apply and move if they offer a min of $60-70K a year. I'm working on switching jobs. My resume is probably not the best for qualifying for those positions, but I train VERY easily. I just am getting tired of the Bank branch routine and having half salary/commission pay. I do well in commissions, but when I have to do training or am out of town for other business related matters, I don't do as much business. And my position isn't primarily a mortgage officer. I do IT work.
