  1. got 2 parts on cd's & would like to convert to dvd. have copied to computer the avseq files but when i try to merge them together ready to encode tmpgenc says that they are not mpg files. I have downloaded all available codecs & changed enviromental sttings in tmpgenc but still no luck is it something simple do u think,

  2. yeah but it wouldn't recognise the files. Am using iso buster to open discs form rom to hard drive convert to user data maybe that will work. just copied the avseq over b4 by copy & paste

    Hello,

    You have to extract the mpeg2 data. That will get you the mpg file (even though its mpeg1 its still accesed by the "extract mpeg2" option).

    (and it has to be saved manually with the ".mpg" extension)

    DVD Santa has recognized all of the files I've thrown at it.

    Input your files, output of DVD files ready for burning.

    Easy!

    If you want a menu, then use TMPG DVDAuthor to work with the files DVDSanta gave you.

    Yes but you're re-encoding which should be avoided due to quality loss, it also takes longer. Baldrick's guide is best.
