how to make .idx and .sub

is it possible to make vob (.idx and .sub) subtitles out of .srt?

i have movie.avi and movie.srt subtitles. now i would like to have vob subtitles (.idx and .sub) for that movie.avi and put them in it with virtual dub.

another question:

how can i put .srt/.sub/etc. etc. subtitles in black boarderline that appears in ws movies with virtual dub mod or nandub? or with any other program?

Possible - yes. Does it exist a soft for doing this conversion? - not that I know of.

vob offers nicer positioning of subtitles.

i˘d like to put subtitles into the black borderlines in 9:16 movies with virtualdub mod but i can t do it.do not know how.

so how to put subtitles in .sub/.srt... format in this back belt beneeth the movie?

add black borders and then add subs, under video->filters.

the resize filter, you wont resize the video just add black borders.
