I was looking around for user friendly software to back up my movies on my apple computer. Has anyone used FAST COPY DVD 3 for backing up movies? here is the link

  2. Overpriced and with less control and options than my method of MacTheRipper->DVD2OneX->Toast. But if all you want is convenience then give it a try. MacTheRipper will rip problem discs that FastDVDCopy will balk on, and DVD2One X is much more customizable with it's requantisation and re-encodes. Toast is almost essential, but you can even get something like MissingMediaBurner or DVDImager and use DiskCopy to burn. That means more control and better DVD compatibility for 50 Euros versus $100 for something most folks here don't use.

We were mainly looking for convenience. We prefer something that's one or two clicks. I just want to back up the movie completely without taking out any menus or features. Is fast copy dvd an option or do you reccomend any other methods that are one or two click programs?

  5. Macuser is right, because I do not use Popcorn I forgot to mention it, but it offers almost the same convenience as FastDVDCopy and I've heard good things about the quality of the output. Adding MTR (MacTheRipper) is what makes this a better solution. Do it this way and you won't be wondering why you cannot back up Disney or Universal discs.

If you ever want to know where to find a particular piece of software always try VersionTracker orMacUpdate first and perform a search.
