  1. Okies. Firstly so far the quality of the capture in mpeg2 is great. Although interlaced I suppose it has to be if it is going on a TV.

So is it supposed to output in interlaced format and if so is there any option to deinterlace at capture time.

The real problems are a. wintv2000 is a piece of crap, can anybody recommend a better program to use that is good with the svid input.

Also, I have a sudigy2 platinum ex soundcard, I have a device set up to the spdif and then the output of my soundcard fed into the hauppage audio input via a jack cable. When I record the audio is TERRIBLE. It is crackly and I have now noticed that the capture of the audio is repeating itself whilst getting louder and louder which makes no sense. Possibly the hauppauge is conflictng with my soundcard?

Any help is great because at the moment it looks like using the audio input on the hauppauge 350 is a no go

  2. Figured out why the audio was wrecked. Pretty obvious really, I am feeding in the output line of the souncard to the input of the 350. Unfortunately this makes endlss loops of audio as the 350 is also using the soundcard not just for recording but for normal volume.

All I want to do is to record the spdif source, aboviously this means someway of making the spdif input being recieved by the hauppauge 350. There must be a way of feeding the input of the soundcard without all that distortion and looping

    I'll keep looking
