  1. Hello, just wondering because I have been googleing but cant' seem to find out what kind of labels these things are that a friend had on his dvd.

They are full dvd stickers but seem to be plastic, not paper or like the avery high gloss, in fact they aren't glossy at all but look really nice. I've also bought avery clear labels before and these are not really like those either, the clear cd labels i bought bubbled up when applied.

Thanks everyone... and before anyone else says it
    "buy an inkjet"

I know... i just want to know what kind of dvd labels these are, thanks.

You sure it isn't just inkjet or thermal media? Sounds like it.

    You should not label DVDs.

  4. I remember that the dvd was printed all the way to the circle too so the hub was flush, didn't have a ring on it lordsmurf.

Probably was inkjet then - it was really smooth surface and looked like plastic like i said.

  6. Why not ask your friend what kind of label he put on his DVD?

  7. Well I called and asked my buddy and he said he ddin't make it, he bought it like that, then he wet his finger and the ink smeared so it's inkjet. He tried to peel it and nothing will peel off so i guess it is an inkjet printable.

I've never seen smooth inkjet though, anyone know what company makes smooth printables?

Sounds like PRODISC THERMAL WHITE media. Maybe ... MAYBE ... some of the white inkjet .. but sounds like thermal. I use those for data backups.
