I am trying to back up DVD's, but I want them in original quality. I have started using DVDFab, and DVDxCopy, but they are a total waste of money, and crash all the time. DVDxCopy has issues with nero or if you have anything else installed it wont work..... Worse than a friggin woman.
Then you have DVDFab, which waits until it copies like 6 or 7 GB before it just either dissapears, or crashes.
Anyone here know of a good program(s) that isnt made by a bunch of crackheads at lunch?
Or better yet, has anyone had these problems and found a way to resolve them?

Sorry, I guess I wasnt clear in my original post. I want to burn it to 2 DVD's and keep everything without shrinking it at all. The two programs mentioned above crash on average 10 times per hour, all before finishing their work.
Everyone praises DVDxCopy but it does not work for me. Crashes. DVDfab looked like a good program to do straight copies, crash crash crash. Its dissapointing noone makes good software anymore that you pay for, and yet all the stuff that is made by people on here is rock solid.... -
If you do not want to reencode or shrink, then I suggest you get a double-layer burner.
You could put everything on 1 disc. -

I do not praise XCopy either.
It is a junk program from a company that sold freeware. -
Well since noone has had crashing problems with dvdfab like I am having, its looking like its time for a format. Hopefully that fixes the problem. Thanks for the other program suggestions, but since I already bought this program I am going to try and get it working.
And after using dvdxcopy I find it a horrible program to use anywhere near any sort of DVD work... Nice to know others have similar feelings here. -

If you haven't already, do a virus scan and spyware scan to make sure there is nothing on your computer interfering with your legitimate programs. Also close down any unnecessary programs running in background, like Norton or virus scanners. If worse comes to worse you may have to re-format, as you stated.

Not tried this yet but give TMPGEnc DVD Author a go. The new version is double layer. Will also do ISO-DVD and vice versa. Maybe first use DVD Decrypter depending on source.
Still a bit rusty so dont swear by this but should work.
