Just found TDK Printable DVDs on their web site since I was looking for a good printable dvd other than Verbatium. They go 10 for $22 and might be 4x (not sure) 8) I was just happy to find them so I thought I'd pass this along to any other TDK users.

That seems kind of expensive ... a quick google should be able to find 50 packs for around 50 bucks.

Has anyone confirmed that the TDK's being offered
by in 100 packs by Compusa this week are 2x and
    not 4x?
Heck of a deal for $40, but need to know what speed.
also, i saw BB has there 50 packs ( which I know are 2x)
for $20, as the only 2x TDK media they sell are in
    25 and 50 pks.

The product numbers refer to both 4x and 8x DVD-R media; probably the same for +R. I'm curious if my eMac's DVR-107D drive will detect and burn it at 8x.

Yup the price I found on the printable was high but thats where my search for the TDK Printable dvds took me (TDK web site).
I was hoping to find TDK Printable some what cheaper but it still isn't all that bad for that brand.
Found -- must be left over stock-- of 2x TDK @ Target. They had a sign and it said TDK 2x DVD-r $4.99 for a 5 or 6 pack and the shelf was packed (20-30) cases and the kid said they had more in back ( he was going to get some for his 2x burner in his mac).
I hope the dvds are good since their still wraped up. Any way hope this helps any else looking for 2x 8)

Well, Target is out of the 2x TDK's in my area and now
Compusa and Best Buy are only carrying 8X
TDKs. A friend who's husband works at one of my local
BB's confirmed that the sku's they have all point to TDK
8x media, no longer 2x or 4x media.

Seems like our sources may be drying up on
2x media...methinks for xmas I'll try and get
at least a -106 to replace my -104 stock drive....
