I was wondering I use the program gspot and when im looking at xvid's and divx files how can i tell if gmc and q-pel is on it? It doesnt say on the files i get but should it or is it something that wont say.
Also how do you know if a divx file was encoded using "Home Theater Mode"? Anything i should look for in gspot?

Well i did a search on the net and came up with this program. I think its the only program i know of that will help see if there divx file or xvid file if it contains gmc or q-pel or both.
http://www.moitah.net/
I tried it out on many other divx and xvid's and none had the gmc or q-pel.
Modifies a MPEG4 video (XviD, DivX) without re-encoding (aspect ratio, userdata, packed bitstream removal, and interlaced field order). The video must be in an AVI container, and OpenDML isn't currently supported. It is written in C#, so you need the .NET v1.1 Framework to run it.
Now all i need to know is how I can tell if a divx file was encoded in "Home Theather Mode".
If the divx file was not encoded with Dr. Divx would it still work in a divx dvd player?
