  1. Been having this weird problem. When I burn a DVDR .img I get no sound when the movie is playing. I get sound in the settings menu for subtitles etc, but as soon as the movie starts, all is quiet. This happens both on my stationary DVD and when playing it on my computer's DVD. Hell, it even happens when I mount an .img in Daemon Tools. Am I missing some codec or something that screws up my DVDs?

    Getting desperate

  2. Two DVD-images actually, same movie though.

Weird thing is, it happens when I take an mpeg and burn it as a VCD/SVCD too, with my old cd-burner.

First I thought it was a problem with my stationary DVD but the problem is still there when I play the stuff on my computer.

Could I be missing some extra program? feels weird, since I thought all I had to do was burn the .img file (using CVD-Decrypter)

    Any help much appreciated

Well, noone knows the "quality" of what's inside the image, have you not created it yourself...
If there is any sound info at all in the video, it ought to play on the computer at least. What do you use for computer playback of DVD and SVCD?

  4. After looking around a little, I found this nifty program here on Videohelp, AVICodec, so I loaded the dvd's in, and it seems that the problems is files with DTS Audio. (still guessing here though)

I can't play the DTS tracks on my computer and they are the same tracks that give me problems with the movie (lord of the rings, fellowship, extended version to be exact)

My Player, a Mustek V600 RS system, is supposed to support DTS, according to the specifications by the manufacturer.

Just tried another DVD iso, one without DTS tracks, and it works fine. I still can't believe the problem should be DTS audio, the player supports it 8(

Mustek says I should try Factory Default Settings, so I guess I'll try that.

Still interested in any ideas you might have.
