Encoding

Hi Guys

Need a bit of advice/Help with some video encoding.

I have various Avi and MPG files to convert.

At the moment i use Tmpgenc plus to encode them into DVD Pal files and then add to Ulead Dvd workshop to make the the menus and encoded the final vobs.


As the files are already compliant for ulead it doesn't bother encoding them. I used to use ulead to do the full process but it takes ages from start to finish, Tmpgenc doesn't take as long but sometimes the files when encoded have no Audio.

I want to keep using Ulead for the menus and they are better than anything i have seen and the options in it are great but i am trying to find something to encoded them from/Mpeg to dvd pal mpg.

I have got the full version of SVCD2DVD but that doesn't seem to convert them to dvd pal compliant files (or at least as ulead is concerned) , I've tried various other ulead packages and also a few other encoding programs but all seem to have unhelpful results.

Anyone got any recommendations for software to convert from AVI/MPG to Pal DVD files that doesn't take a week to do and gives good results?
