  1. I've been converting with it just fine in the last few days....

But now it refuses to convert audio and is generating SVCDs with no audio at all. Right before it ends the conversion for the audio stream it suddenly shows a remaining time of over 1000+ hours and then "mcmpgenc.exe error".

Tried unstalling and reinstalling mainconcept and all codecs with no luck.

[Edit] Hmmm.... It's not a codec problem, I was able to demux the audio just fine in Virtualdubmod.

[Edit] Oh no... Tried to convert just the video to svcd and then convert and multiplex the audio in another software but no sucess, only the very frist second of the generated svcd/mpge file plays sound.

  2. As a good practice, always encode video and audio separately. You can have less problems this way, plus many authoring programs required elementary streams. So demux audio from original source and encode it separately.

  3. Yeah, I had the same problem quite a few times with mainconcept and also, most of the conversions, when "succesfully" done, ended up out of sync with the audio... moved back to good old TMPGEnc. Takes ages, but seems to be the best.
