    The package for the Verbatims +8X say they are compatible up to 12X. When burning it shows burning at 12X but it takes 8 minutes 14 seconds. When I burn +4X media it takes the same time or a little less. Any ideas why?

    Nero Express 6.3.1.25
    1 Gig Ram

    8 minutes and 14 seconds is a bit long even for 8x on the Plextor, usually it burns 8x +R in 7:47 and 8x -R in 8:00 flat. My guess is it might actually be slowing the speed down to 6x towards the end.

    Did a Plextor Write Tranfer test.

    Verbatim +8X MCC003 Start 6:11 End 6:11 Avg. 6:09 Shows 12X

    TDK +8X CMC MAG E01 Start 6:07 End 6:11 Avg. 7:89 Shows 8X

    Fuji +4X RICOHJPNR01 Start 6:09 End 8:17 Avg. 7:99 Shows 8X
