Is it possible to use NeroVision Express 2 or other Nero product to create a "photo CD" from jpg files? If I take my photos to a camera store and ask them to put the images on CD, the CD that I get back has jpg files. I can put the CD into my Sony DVD player and they will show up on my TV screen about one per four seconds. Can I produce a CD like that with other jpg files that I have with any Nero product?

Note the image files on the camera store CD are jpg format and not PCD format.

Just about any standard CD burning program can do what you're asking for.

    A little background...

PhotoCD's come in a couple of flavors:

    1. Kodak PhotoCDŽ (CDXA Mode2Form2-3tracks, ISO9660 on 1st track "CDI Bridge"-type, w/ "IMG####.PCD" files, sometimes Multisession)--works in PC's/Macs, CDI players, PhotoCD players. That's all. Great quality.

    2. Kodak (or similar) PictureCD (CDROM Usually Mode1, ISO9660 filesystem-with or without Joliet, w/ JPG or occasionally TIF files)--works in PC's/Macs, JPG-equipped DVD players. Quality varies, but usually ok.

    3. Pictures/Slideshow on VCD, SVCD, or DVD (Not really "pictutre" files at all, just still-frame MPEGs, uses standard S/VCD or DVD structures)--works in PC's/Macs, VCD players and/or DVD players, CDI players (for VCD), certain other games systems

Sometimes its possible to combine type 2 & 3 on the same disc. Usually the "source files/pictures" are put in a separate subdirectory.

Sounds like what you have or want is #2.
Like I said, all the major burning apps--Nero, Roxio EZCD, Prassi, CDRWin, DiscJuggler, RecordNow, Gear, WinOnCD, Hotburn, CDRDAO, etc--can do this as it is a simple data disc with JPG files on it. That's it.

I tried Video CD, but came up empty handed. Not a single jpg file appeared but instead it looks like some .dat files were created. Also some directories were created but no displayable images. The menu/title was there.

If I try to burn a DVD instead, it works reasonably well. I can play it in my DVD player.

What other CD burners are there aside from Nero?

Just slap you jpegs onto a CD burning in normal DATA mode (dont use VCD )....job done....your DVD player will then open them.
