I think "WoW" as flaystus has written is when a woman gets a "W" tatoo'd on each butt cheek and bends over while naked.

It's a dual tatoo, because when she's on her back with her legs up it spells "MoM"

WoW is based similarly to the EverQuest engine. Haven't played EverQuest, nor do I really care to. Howver, the WarCraft program seems more interesting to me. Better story I guess. I wish Blizzard would do more in the realm of the multiplayer strategy battle games. I'm ready for a StarCraft II. I think Blizzard should come up with a game called Warcraft LAN Warfare. Make it where you can connect online or primarily a home based LAN. Each person is the leader of a small group and can build various developments, like you would in WarCraft I, II or III. These developments let you make your various weapons and armament. You go out, like you would in a First Person Shooter, and slaughter the opponents trying to reach a specific objective. Each person is given a random campaign when starting the game. Nobody knows what the other people's campaigns are. You can allie up or break alliance to obtain your objectives. Sounds similar to WoW, but the difference is you're timed to 1 or 2 hours per play time. Person who completes the most objectives and/or has the most points wins.

Well as someone who has played several MMO games either as a player or a tester. I can clearly say WoW is the best put together game of its type I've played yet. Of course excellence has always been a staple of Blizzard (even if time is sacrifaced while they work on it )

Its alot like EQ, but its hardly similar to the EQ "engine" its worlds better.

WoW plays awesomely. We learned in Open Beta that what lags the server most is tons of people all hanging in the same zones. The zones however are HUGE.

I was level 10 before I even left the home zone. So it gets kinda laggy during the prime hours of the day right now, but should be better in a few days we we all spread out a little more.

My druid in Beta was level 13 when Open Beta ended, my new one is level 9 already, headed up fast.

There technically are prepaid cards but AFAIK they are only on their website right now (catch 22 huh?). I think once the game is out for a few days or a few weeks the cards will arrive in the store. I don't blame them for taking a one step at a time policy with the launch, cruch time always sucks.

I think it sucks to pay a monthly fee to play a game you already paid for. Might as well sell the discs for $5 and then charge $1 more than what they're charging for the monthly fee. You'll end up with more people buying the game and getting online to play. If you charge $40+ for the game, the company should expect it to take some time before people get the game and go online. My brother was like that with EverQuest. He waited 6 months be fore he got it, went online for only 2 months and just decided it was better with local servers that were free.

Then you end up with so many people playing the game that they need more and bigger servers which makes their cost co up, which forces them to raise the price. Plus server upgrades, plus someone to program the expantions. ANd someone to man the phones as well as in game assistance.

Its an expensive endevor. I really don't blame them for charging. Some people have a problem with that, if they do then don't play an MMO, go get Unreal and play on some guys DSL connected server. If thats all you want thats fine. Heck I do that sometimes but from an MMO I understand there is a cost to keeping it running, growing, and to make a profit.

I can spend $15 at the movies, I can spend $15+ easy every week on comicbooks. So $15/month for WoW is a good bargain of my money vs. time.
