Check the min sys requirements for wow...I'd say most likely a HW/VC, related prob.......no offense but 800 AMD......

I had WOW problems similar to what you are describing, but my comp would reboot after I was in the game. The prolem occurred after new 'patches', it was working fine then I would have issues. This happened several times, if I recall correctly.

I updated all my drivers (Video Card, Sound Card, etc.) including the mother board and the problem fixed itself.

Is your friend running TBC? I believe the min system req may have changed, but not 100% certain. Also, does your friend have mods? That may be an issue as well.

Most likely a software glitch associated with old/outdated drivers. You could try uninstalling the game, update the MB, audio, and video drivers, then reinstall the game. You may also want to ensure the OS (XP?) is up to date. Some software/games specifically state XP w/SP1 or w/SP2, etc.

And min requirements are hardly ever sufficient to enjoy a game.
