    Anybody it is the way to convert video format such as (mpg, m2v) to jpeg. Or can help me to retrieve the picture from video file to picture with good resolution. I am using Power DVD to capture the picture but the quality of the picture is not good enough for me.Thank you.

    Hello,

    Virtualdub has an image saving option. I think it has bmp only output. Check around the program itself for a save image option.

    The quality PowerDVD gives, is the quality that's available, given the source. Keep in mind that even a high q DVD only has a resolution of 720*576 (PAL) and that's not much when we're talking about digital still images!

    if i remember right power dvd has different options to save hi res pics look at settings.. BUT as was mentioned.. the res is only gonna be as good as the source.. and with video its not really gonna be that good even at 720x480 (DVD) its not all tha tgreat.. 1024x768 for a digi cam is crap.. my cell phone can take 640x480.. so gotta keep that in mind.

    You can use TMPEGnc:

    File --> Add current project to batch list --> Sequence BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG file.

    Or you could just open the file in TMPEGnc and press CTRL+ALT+B
    When it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!!
