  1. I'm only just through the freebie period, but this is far better than the other 2 for me so far. They have had everything I've wanted, the turnaround time is good, and the discs are in good condition, nothing like Netflix and Wal Mart, especially Wal Mart who I think I got 1 disc from which didn't look like it was used as a hockey puck. I get coupons for 2 free in store rentals, I print them twice use 1 set at Blockbuster and 1 set at Hollywood. With the price of rentals these days the 4 free rentals almost pays the monthly fee. I didn't like either of the others, but if things stay like they are Blockbuster is actually worth sticking with.

I haven't heard about the hollywood deal. But my turn around is far worse than with Netflix and 1 out of 10 disks have been unplayable. Netflix is about 1 out of 25. I find the selection at Netflix for old and foreign film is much better that BB. I especially like the web design at Netflix. I plan on dropping BB this month and stick with Netflix

  4. yeah what's this hollywood thing? I just signed up for the trial of BB and netflix last week. I did walmart 18 months ago and it was a horrific nightmare of poor selection and no quantity. Maybe it's better, but i don't intend on ever finding out.

So far netflix and BB both have been very fast at shipping. Selection and availability is great on both, though netflix has a few more movies and seemingly more in stock. That said, the two brick & mortar rentals from BB are what would, at the moment, sway me towards them. Nothing beats going in on a tuesday and getting a new release right there and then.

  5. After trying Walmart, Netflix and Blockbuster, I would say that Netflix is pretty good with Blockbuster coming in next. The turnaround time for Netflix was about a week, but they always had the movies that I wanted. Blockbuster has a terrible selection, but decent turn around times and Walmart sucks at both.

I'm in AL, so I use the center in north carolina, but I dropped disks in the mail on saturday and they got there early this morning (monday - one day later), and shipped others out. I expect them here on wednesday at the latest. Not too shabby! BB actually did the same, but was a few hours later

My hollywood accepts all Blockbuster coupons, no questions asked. I could use them more than once if I wanted to, there's 2 Hollywoods close to me. Blockbuster scans the UPC and then the coupon can't be used again, but hollywood just takes the coupon without scanning the UPC, so I'm sure I could use the same coupon again if I wanted to.

  8. I need to try that out, because there is a hollywood right by work. That would be a phenomenal deal if it works...

EDIT: Just called. Mine does not accept them.
