  1. Hi,
I searched everywhere and i found this card does its job well with new drivers. In the manual it says it can capture up to 1024*768...well, is there anyone know what resolution and fps can it capture successfully without dropped frames? Ofcourse cpu, ram, hdd speed matter too is there anyone has any idea and tell me about capturing performance of it please?

I think these cards are not matured enough for real time video capture, I own the FX 5700 with Video In/Out and I was not pleased with it, I prefer my old BT878 Avermedia TV Tuner card for recording old VHS Tapes.

They do decode MPEG1/2 very nicely and the CPU work load is reduced with the correct software decoder, which uses the video card hardware.

  3. Thanks for advice.
I had avermedia tv tunder before.I was capturing 320 240 30fps on pent3 550 with nondrop frames and uncompressed avi.
What do you mean by you were not pleased with it?
Do you think fx5600 can capture 720*576 with 25fps with nondroped frames on pent4 3.2? and uncompressed too? i dont think it can do uncompressed much though.

I was able to use VirtualDub for recording when I was using my FX 5700, but I must say that I noticed frames dropping.

Resolution can be set in Virtualdub, but I cannot specify the maximun you can reach if you go for it.

I use WinDVD creator to capture vid from my 5600 input.
(Its the only thing I do use WDC for cause it's cr@p at everything else)

The results are not DVD quality by any means but good enough if you are just looking to record from TV or analogue cam.

No frames dropped at all (720x576) using a P4 2.8 and SATA drives.

    Cheers ....
