No guide because it is way too much work, convert all video, audio, extra material, menus, menu background audio and still pictures. And no all-in-tool can do it either( yet). Get a cheap dvd player that can convert PAL to NTSC.

You need a "code-free/region-free" dvd player that plays both Pal and NTSC and sends the signal to your NTSC TV so it displays the picture correctly.

Do a web search for it. Saves the hassle of having to convert.

Do a search for the model # you have to see if there is a remote hack to make it able to play PAL DVD's.

Here is a starting point. Mods if needed please remove the link.

  9. You might try THIS GUIDE but you're better off buying a multi-system DVD player with a built-in converter.

  11. The major problem with the "get a different DVD player" recommendation is that it doesn't cover all of the bases. Yes, it's great for my personal collection-- but what about when I take that same movie to a friend's house or if said friend borrows it independently?

On another note, what about movies that are only relased in Europe, but I want to buy and convert so I can give them as gifts? (This is my current situation.)
