  1. OK

    I have a TON of 8MM camcorder tapes from 7 years ago. I want to do a lot of editing out of some of the long drawn out scenes (bus rides, etc)

    Now, I usually plug an AVI file into Virtual Dub, and cut out the scenes I DO want, and then take all those file and JOIN them just to get rid of a few 2 or 5 minutes scenes here and there.

    Is there a way I can just REMOVE the little scenes I don't want?

    Can I just plug the whole file in Premiere 6.0 or some program like that and "edit out" the unwanted scenes?

    Thank you everyone and happy holidays

    the way I do it.....
    import into virtualDub
    1- set "Mark in" at the beginning of the area you want to delete
    2- set "Mark out" at the end of the area you want to delete
    3- select Edit > delete: the selected area is removed from the clip
    4 - frameserve to desired encoder, or "save AVI" to save the result
    (if you choose to frameserve, it's a good idea to "Save WAV" also)
    You can't fool me, I'm a moron!
