  1. OK, well this is frustrating, i have been dldg on of my favourite shows, as avi files, once i have them i am converting to mpg. I get them, strip the audio (using VirtualDub) then encode using TMPGEnc 2.5 Pro, and there you go done.
The problem is four of them worked fine, but one of them, after encoding the audio is out of sync with the video. I do get an error msg with virtual dub, but i ignore it like the guide says, and i gt pretty much the same msg with all of the avi´s, but only one is out of synch.

What should i do, should i encode it then play around with the mpg, and if so using what, or is there something else i can try before encoding.

    Any help appreciated,

    MM.

  2. you can sync the audio to the video in tmpeg
SETTINGS -> ADVANCED -> SOURCE RANGE
you'll see AUDIO GAP CORRECT where you can input numbers in msecs
+(plus) or -(minus) depending if your audio is fast or slow. I recommend that you start at 250 +/- and work your way from there increasing the number by 250 at a time(250/500 etc), also just do a small section of your video(a minute or so) to see your results.

    I hope this will help.

Extract the audio from the AVI out to a WAV suing Virtualdub and the guide here, then load this into goldwave and use the timewarp function (edit > timewarp I think) to stretch or shrink the audio to the same running time as the video. WHen you convert to MPEG, use the AVI as your video source and the new WAV as your audio source.
    If in doubt, Google it.
