Im trying to capture a Mr Show DVD from a stand alone desktop DVD player onto my computer using my ATI 9700 PRO AIW card.
Ive tried using the MMC TV capture software that the card comes with, and a trial version of Dr Divx.
Ive installed all 3 macrovision hacks in the ati.zip file from http://www.digitalfaq.com/dvdguides/capture/atiavi/atiavi.htm
and not had any luck.
The resulting capture has a bright "green" screen.
Is this a problem with my Samsung DVD players output? Anyway around that?
Thanks

A TBC or Sima product inline may do the trick... Kind of an expensive solution for one film though!
How about this... gank those VOBs right off the DVD and use MPEG VCR to join and convert to MPEG-2... Then encode dviX (if that's your goal)
Are you just trying to copy it?? DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink and your done... -
Im trying to capture the movie onto my harddrive, just as a test. I was just trying to see if there are any software hacks that will block macrovision if its coming from an outside piece of hardware.
What are those two connectors you are talking about?
Thanks!
