  1. Good morning friends,
I have handled several video (AVI) files already with VirtualDub v1.5
usualy extracting the audio to .WAV file and later encoding it to
    SVCD / DVD movie.
in all cases there was either no skew or very small skew between video
and audio tracks, so it made no difference for the later encoded movie.
This movie is exceptional since there is a very large skew which is noticeable while playing the movie ( the skew grows bigger along with the movie).
I searched this forum for relative information, with no success.
I attached a picture of two screen captures.

Thanks in advace for any help.

Gradual drift is mostly due to:
    A) Bad/undecodable frames in the video scattered thru the movie
    B) Not going thru all hoops and loops ncessary for a succesful frame rate conversion (your source AVI and dest SVCD/DVD have different frame rates).

There are guides for both situations to be found left.
If you're converting frame rate, I suggest you don't - It's much easier to stick to the source framerate thru the whole process. At least if you're in PAL region, you'll probably be able to play NTSC material as well as PAL - things are a little different if your native TV system is NTSC...
In these matters, it helps if you fill in your profile!
