Are there any references to "Thumb-rules for the Frames Per Second" (ranging between say 5 to 30) to be set during video capture with a software like VirtualDub with the objetive of quality or minimum frame loss?
What are the variables like "speed of movement of the objects in the video" or "condition of light - natural or artificial- in the video" on which the frame-rate depends? If values of these two variables are listed in a two-way table on the X and Y axes what would be the recommended frame rates which should be used?
Remember the camera manufacturers used to give ready tables like this at one
time?
