...and check your source file for errors.

i used virtualdub to check for errors and the report i got back was: 127819 frames masked (2174 frames bad, 125645 frames good but undecodable)
Is this the problem?
And also how do i know if my codecs are out of date and where can i update them?
Thanks Again! -
"Is this a problem?"
Might be "cured" with a new version of codec, but I seriuosly suspect the best way to convert the AVI is to hold down shift, and drag it over to the trash can.

Serious? No way of fixing it? Or will it take forever?
what codec do i need to download mats? -

Well, then, try the latest XviD codec.

OK. Trashcan, then, if it's not extremely precious to you.
