That doesn't say evil dead 4. It says they are remaking the original evil dead. Maybe the page updated since this was posted.

I guess thats cool and all but I would have rather had ED4. Still, Army barely broke even.

  4. Rami has time and time again stated along with Cambell
that they would NEVER make ED4.

If there is any substance to this article it means another production
house is touting that they are willing to
accept investors in a low budget C grade horror
remake with tenuous connections to Sam Rami.

Anybody recall the crap that was John Carpenter's Vampires: Los Muertos?

Didn't Jon Bon Jovi just kick ass in that movie?

    Seriously:

I really dug the first one (James Woods, Daniel Baldwin), but that sequel really sucked ass!!

  9. Yeah and thanks to John by lending his name only
as a marketing ploy. I got suckered.. even after I
read the blurb about who was "appearing" in it
    (I can't say acting)

Not to forget that the only good horror movies of late
come from independent makers such as the production
house behind Pretty Dead things and the Mexcian based
Fantastic Factory, with their cool suite of quality "B" horrors.

Let us see if Blade: Trinity is up to scratch.

  10. I hope it is rated an 18 or R etc, and not a 15 or 12 just to cash in.

  11. Come on Hardcoreruss,

when was the last time you saw a really scary, and I
mean really scary movie? They were all
made in the 60ies, 70ies and early eighties. These days
if you made a film that upset some 5 year old from drinking their malted milk you would be sued.

Expect a MA rating at most I think.

  12. The only movies I thought were scary were IT, I saw that when I was about 12 and was utterly petrified.

Also a film called Demonic Toys that scared the life out of me.

Also, and I hate to admit it, The Blair Witch Project, I have never been so scared ever, that is one proper fucked up film.

I saw the Grudge, original NOT remake, and that was scary.

I'll never understand why a few kids ******* about in the woods is meant to be scary. Must be a townie "scared of nature" type of thing.

I found it eery rather than frightening. I liked the black nebulous object
as seen by one of the victims on the security camera. Had I seen that
boy under the blankets as a twelve year old I would not have slept for
a month. As an seedy adult , however, I was fairly immune to the dramatic
sequences. I liked the overall sense of menace, but I found I needed
a reason behind the killings and none was provided. You just entered
the house and you were going to die.

Korea is producing some good horror films lately and hopefully they will
    be introduced into the mainstream.

I have a few friends that always list " IT " as something they had
been scared by. I never understood that.. I was bored after a few minutes
into the film. The lousy giant spider thingie at the film's "climax" justified what
I thought of the film - which was not much. Sure clowns can be scary, but
not IT imo. Perhaps I watched it when I was too old?

I can see how toys can be scary but I will not comment on Blair as
I never bothered to go see the film. I did see part of a semi-funny spoof
called Blair Witch: The bogus Project. Woods can be scary, in particular
I find pine plantations just a little too quiet and spooky. Corn fields can also
be scary as can bamboo plantations. There is nothing like being in
the pitch black woods when you hear the cry of a fox.. YIKES!!

Hellraiser ranks up there as one of those movies that just may have scarred me for life.

"IT", I believe, just plain sucked. It had John Boy as the freakin' star for Christ's sake.

Also, I know there alot of fans of the Evil Dead series, but I thought that pretty much sucked too.
