Hey guys. I'm sorry if this has been asked but I couldn't find anything on these boards concerning my problem.
I have 8 VHS tapes that need to be put onto DVD. I have a VCR, Samsung SCD23 camcorder and a firewire card to my PC.
When I hook my VCR to my camcorder and then camcorder to PC via the firewire Windows Movie Maker recognizes the device.
But how do I get any software to record from the VHS tape, through the DV camcorder and then onto the PC?
And if I do get this to work, how can I condense the info so that one tape will get burned to one DVD?
I really hope I explained this properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much!

1) Capture (actually transfer) your DV footage to your hard disk.
2) Convert your DV footage to DVD compliant mpeg.
3) Author (and burn) your mpeg as a DVD.
