    I need to know if Windows media player can play dv codec.
    How to enable it ?

  5. What the heck are you talking about? Windows Media Player can play the file as long as you have the codec installed for it. I use Media Player Classic to watch all my media. It doesn't install but is just an .exe that you open and use freely. Go for that. Zoom Player claims to be good too

    You don't need a registry change. Just install a DV codec. Then DV will work on just about any compatible player.
