Had something interesting happen today. A buddy got a new Panasonic 50" HD plasma and a new Toshiba player, both have HDMI.

We watched a little of his DVD and HD cable box, and then I remembered I had a couple of backed up movies in my SUV the kids watch. I ran out and got one and tryed it in his player. One of the DVD's had an especially good scene (Butterfly Effect) I wanted to show him.

Imagine my surprise when neither of my backed up DVD's would play! After loading, I just got the message "NO DISC"! I tryed hooking up with HDMI, Component Video, and Composite Video. I checked the menu and for rear panel switches.

These two DVD's play perfectly in my SUV, and here at my home in three players.

WOW. Comments?
