  1. hi, ok i tried searching everywhere where i can actually delete a broken frame in an svcd. u see, i try opening the video in tmpgenc, or m2 edit pro, in anything, but the video loads and stops loading at the broken frame (it doesnt load the complete video) do u think there is a program that detects where that broken frame is and delete it? so i can actually open the whole svcd in an editing program.

the svcds are mostly music videos. thanks for your help

    Hello,

You could load the mpgs into virtualdubmpeg2. It will encode them to avi. If you go to video - bad frames you'll get options.

I've never done it myself but it should be easy enough to try.

  4. ok hi, thx for ur reply, i tried that program, and it cuts off at the broken frame.. i tired googling around, and found some program that cuts a video at a certain frame... for example:

cut the video in 2, from frame 0-1234, 1236-9999 so it cuts out frame 1235. but i wasnt able to get it to work, it's tough... so can anyone recommend something?

Try PVAStrumento by Offeryn. Note: There is a button "Make ps" which is the same as mpeg2.
I said I'll be done in a minute. I meant a Microsoft minute.

You could download mpegvcr and use that to cut the bad frame out of the mpeg. I don't think it will scan the file for bad frames but if you know where the frame is you can just go to it and select the section you want cut. Mpegvcr offers frame accurate cuts and will not cause a/v sync problems. There is a trial version to download.

  9. ya i guess that one works, u'd hafta "guess and cut" where the broken frame is, multiplex it again and use another editor to see if it can demultiplex the who video from the audio. so i was able to cut out a frame but the vid glitches, but oh well, i made it look "as good as possible"

    Thanks superman! ur alotta help!!!
