In order to get the best of Divx we use nandub SBC. All the guides say that to get a good quality Divx we have to do a First-pass and a second pass. Each pass takes the time to encode a 120 min movie. Anyone here who bothered and tried this ??...and is it worth it to spend that much time to encode 1 movie?

ALIENZ. i use nandub all the time! and yes, its so worth 2 passes. it doesnt take long, i can do a 120 min movie overnight. the quality is far better than mormal encoding, overall (still scenes may look a tad lesser in quality).
yet, ive never tried out gordon knot and the new divX 4 codec. apparently it has a built-in 2 pass filter in it...

It is worth doing the 2 passes, have you tried using GuardianKnot with it ?? The new DivX 4.11 has native 2 pass, and now it's been optimised it's significantly faster than 3.11
