From the latest issue of the British magazine “What Hi-Fi”- first test of the JVC DR-MH30 HD DVD recorder:
For – Quality hard drive, DVD recording and playback for reasonable price.
Against – Only that (as always) lower-quality recording modes give poorer
results.
Verdict – (5 stars) This JVC is an extremely impressive proposition: it’s one of the best recording options around.
“JVC’s latest digital recorder model marries as impressive spec and excellent performance to what looks like a very competitive price…Television pictures from the DR-MH30 are excellent: detailed, well balanced and low in noise. DVD and hard-disk recordings are fine, too: in the highest-quality recording mode they’re as close to the original as you could hope for, though colours can be slightly blanched in both cases.”
