  1. Hi...

Based on input from people here, about a year ago I purchased a JVC 9911 SVHS and JVC MH30 DVD recorder. Circumstances arose and I put my VHS conversion project on hold.

I do have two questions. First and foremost, I notice the audio is very low on my final DVDs. Even stuff that's right from the DVD recorder's hard drive, and not a VHS conversion. Is there a way to boost the sound?

Second, and a very generic question, is this still an ideal setup or is it outdated?

    Thanks for any advice.

Are you sure it's not bad sound cables are you a scart user, or seperate svid/phono plugs.
If scart make sure their all in properly, wiggle 'em in abit.
Does the HR-S9911 have audio level controls? you'll have to check the manual.
Try using any other VCR you have just to be sure.
Is it slightly quiter or seriously quiter, if so it could be a fault like in the link. Hope you can sort it.
