  1. I have heard that Cinema Craft is a bit better than TMPgenc when it comes to blockiness in SVCD.
Is it so much better that it is any point changing encoder?

With Tmpgenc you can do all in one, but in CCE you have to use another program for resizing and pulldown.

Is it actually worth changing, is it that much better?

    Thanks

  2. Check this out. I found it quite informative:

    http://www.tecoltd.com/enctest/enctest.htm

I just tried the Cinemacraft last night. It blazing fast! But it won't convert MPEG-1 correctly and that means it is not good for VCD. I am not sure about SVCD.

do you get the cinema craft mark in the down right corner, after converting?

is that because of the trial version.

and nero does not recognize the svcd file as a valid svcd file, says that it is wrong streaming.

i manage to resize, but even if the fps at the divx file is 25, it want accept it after encoded.

  5. Dude. Cinema Craft Encoder is the best possible SVCD encoder on the planet. But it has a hefty price tag of amost $4,000.00 unless you can crack it
Go to Doom9's page and d/' DVD2SVCD and then look for Cinema Craft Enocoder 2.5 SP
Use and you never use that shitty TMPGEnc again for SVCD.

    Go here

I love CCE. It encodes atleast TWICE as fast over TMPGEnc, and the quality is superb. The only problem with CCE is that it don't have alot of options, but that doesn't really matter because I always frameserve using VirtualDub to it (and VirtualDub has the filters I use =).

  12. Just for extra information:

There is also a crack available for CCE 2.62 SP.
    Just search for it.
A trial of CCE 2.62 is available at vcdspain ( in Links area.)

  13. Just remember - 2.62 won't worth with *.vdr or *.avs files - it only works with "real" AVI files - Personally I just stick with 2.50 - does everything I want.
