YES. My friend received a free 20GB iPod. I saw it come in the mail and I saw him open the shrink-wrapped retail box. Yes, I was as surprised as you. He says it took a lot of work to get it- linking, recruiting etc. I still think it's stupid. I'm happy with my Panasonic CD-MP3 Player. Not that I don't want a free iPod but I'm not gonna go whoring and begging around just for people to sign up.

I saw something on this on the local news. Some guy did get his but had to put up a lot of personal info and recruit a bunch of people. They even said in the report to not to disclose too much.

Like someone else said here I like my mp3 cd player just fine.

Anything with a decent sized screen won't fit in your pocket.

I have an iRiver HP-400. It is a damn nice device and in terms of features, blows the iPod away. However, it isn't as pretty or as intuitive and definitely has much crappier advertising than the iPod.
