Best all around AVI to VOB or DVD

I have tried Nero Vision, Winavi, TMPGEnc and others... What is the better way to convert AVI(divx) to VOB or DVD ?

Nero Vision I can only fastforward at 2x. And it takes atleast 3hrs. for a movie.

TMPGEnc I always get video and audio sync problems.

Please give me some ideas...

TMPGEnc Plus has always worked fine for me.

TMPGEnc works the best for me to convert to MPEG2. Then TMPGEnc DVD Author. IMO the easiest for most XVIDs or DIVXs is TheFilmMachine.

Of course a lot depends on the format of the DIVX. There are a lot of flavors and it depends on how they were encoded.

Ok, I have downloaded The Film Machine and it will not open the avi file it say "List Index Out of bounds".

ALWAYS convert the audio in a Divx/Xvid to WAV first to avoid synch problems,TMPGEnc has a problem with MP3 audio.
