    hey,i burnt vob files as dvd-video using nero express.The thing is, it worked with E-works brand DVD-RW but my standalone DVD player says no disc when i try playing the Memorex DVD-R that i used to burn the same vob's. Any ideas?

    DVD/RW has a higher reflectivity(better compatability),try some other DVD-R's.

    Yep. Your DVD player doesn't like that brand of DVD-Rs.
    If in doubt, Google it.
