  1. I have done this many times in the past with ffmpegx. I downloaded the new version 0.0.9p and followed the install instructions.

Now when I try to encode a DVD (Ring, Underworld, Identity, and The Rundown) the Audio and Video are way out of sync. I have looked around for solutions but to now avail.

These are the options I am selecting:
    Quick Presets: SVCD Mpeg2 Encoder
Framerate: Tried all of them (some are less out of sync then others)
    Bitrate: 2500
    Left audio on default settings
Decode with Quicktime: on (even though I get a pop up saying that mplayer will be used by default)

What am I doing wrong? I have ripped them using DVDbackup (like I always did before)

    Please help
    Thanks in advance

  2. Have you tried the following: VOB input (no VIDEO_TS, use 0SEx to extract as VOB), NTSC FILM framerate, and, 3:2 pulldown enabled (options tab).

  3. But what happened? Was it the new mencoder?

Is there anyway to take a video_ts folder and change it to a simple .vob file so I can convert it?

  4. Now when I do it with the .vob file using osex I get this:

    What now?

  5. Is your Quicktime Player enabled to read mpeg-2? Try to open the VOB with it (no drag and drop, open.. and select VOB) and see if it plays.
