  1. Recently I recorded Stargate Atlantis to a DVD but forgot the Sky Digital setting were in 16:9 so when viewed on fullscreen TV it would be stretched. I was hoping there is a way to rip it then change some setting in a program so that I can burn it to another DVD but have the 4:3 letterbox option work so it will have black bars on a fullscreen TV and none on a widescreen TV with the DVD player on 16:9 setting. Would anyone be able to help me?

    Thanks

You should change it to 16:9 anarmophic not 4:3 letterbox. If you have a fullscreen tv will the dvdplayer add the borders. You can use ifoedit to change it to 16:9.

  3. Would this help in enabling it to be able to show with blackbars on a fullscreen television but be 16:9 on a widescreen TV with the correct DVD player settings? I did try to record the episode with the digibox and 4:3 letterbox mode but it buggers up 5 minutes to the end and becomes a non-readable and recordable DVD.

    Thanks

If you leave it 16:9, then it should play correctly on both formats of TV, providing the DVD player has been configured correctly. On the 4:3 TV, the DVD player should be configured to display letterbox, on the widescreen TV the DVD player should be configured to display 16:9

If you have an anamorphic source, you are always better off keeping it that way and correctly setting up the DVD player.
