  1. I see the Trek dvd's have SE versions. What's the difference? Video better? Sound Better? More scenes?

    Mainly 2,3,6.
Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side.

They added Jabba from Star Wars?
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

I see you are too lazy to use google. :P

Disc 1 is the movie and the second disc of each movie has the special features.

    Hello,

Yep, each one has minor additions if any. Star Trek The Motion Picture SE had probably the most redo on it. It had new special effects and a beefed up soundtrack.

The newer movies usually just have minor scenes added back in that really don't make it dramatic. I believe part of the biggest addition is the second disc as bazooka pointed out. That has all the goodies on it.

Also, the SE's are enhanced for widescreen tv's whereas many of the first release star trek dvds were fixed widescreen. Another difference is 5.1 surround is the first audio choice whereas in the first releases dolby 2.0 surround was (irritating for digital receiver owners since you have to select it manually before watching the movie ).

    Hello,

    Glad to help

One more note I forgot to mention:

Each SE has Director/actor commentary!!! (sorry I forgot about that biggie!)
