  1. hi,

I use VirtualDubMod for compressing (DivX 5.2.1 codec) my avi-files captured by my DigiCam. When I look the compressed avi-files on my PC, it looks very fine and it is alright.
But when I look the same file on my TV (PAL) with my Philips DVD player 720SA (DivX certified), the film runs to fast.
Moreover, the audio is not synchronized and nobody can understand the audio.

Any idea which settings I have to change?

Sounds like you have a PAL DVD player and TV, and an NTSC video...

    What's your frame rate?

  4. hi,
    the avi-video has 320x240 and 15.000 fps.
The settings at VirtualDubMod are set to default (15.000 fps). I am working with "full processing mode".
It is also a little bit strange, because when I play the uncompressed video on my TV directly from my camera (via cable) then it is perfect....

I think I have to change any parameters at VirtualDubMod but which one?

    Any idea?

  5. hi,

I have made changes in the settings of VirtualDubMod:

Source rate adjustment: Change to 25.000 frames per second or
Frame rate conversion: Convert to 25.000. frames per second

As a result, the compressed video runs still to fast in both cases (it seems that the video runs a little bit slower). Moreover, the audio is not synchronized (in both cases!

    Any idea how it works?
