  1. I've burned the cab files in the windows folder to create a win98 install disc and created a startup disk. Then i booted up from the cdrom drive and typed D:\setup (which is my cd drive), except it won't recognize it as a command to install win98 (bad command or filename). Am i doing this right?

  2. what I would do

Burn all the files to a CD
    Boot from a floppy
    change to the CD
do a dir to make sure I can see the files
    then type setup.exe

  4. I think its because i burnt just the cab file instead of burning the options file which has setup.exe in it.

Another thing, would i have to burn those files in nero as data boot disc or just data?

If you are booting to DOS from a floppy you must load the CDROM device drivers and MSCDEX.EXE in your autoexec.bat to allow DOS to recognize the drive.

Yep, makes it real hard to run setup from the CD, if it's not there
