Hey all, I've got an MPEG file that I want to burn to DVDR. The image is complete on the computer but when I burn to DVDR the right/left side of the image is chopped way off. I'm sure this has to do with computer screen vs. TV screen, but is there a way to enocde it to keep everything I see on the computer on the TV? I think I tried this once and it came out distorted. That's why I'm asking for the help. I should also add this was recorded in PAL format so the Height is higher than NTSC format. Does that make a difference? Thanks!

Was it also recorded at PAL framerate ?
You need to resize the whole frame to sit within the overscan area, and to fill out the borders with black. You can do this using avisynth ot VirtualDub, or the resize|center option in tmpgenc (probably the easiest way). If you want to display this on an NTSC format player/TV, this would be a good time to fix the resolution as well.Read my blog here.
