  1. I have recorded various video with my mobile phone, transferred them to the laptop only to realise that the images are 'on their side' (rotated 90 degrees).

    I can rotate the video by clicking on Tools-->Effects and Filters-->Rotate but I can't save the corrected video.

    Can anyone help?

    View->Advanced Control. Click on the red record button. The file will be saved in your "my videos" folder.

    Or it maybe just records the original stream. Try then Media Convert/Save.

    Or rotate with Avidemux or virtualdub.

    You have to re-encode the file when you rotate the display,if you save as direct copy then it wouldn't re-encode.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
