  1. hello all,
I have 2 Xvid files that I'd like to butn into 1 single dvd to play on tv dvd player.
How do I convert these 2 files (.avi) to 1 file?
Do I really need to convert or can I burn them with nerovision express on dvd?

    thanks in advance

use VirtualDub to join them then use TMPGEnc or TMPGEnc DVD Source Creator to convert the joined .avi to DVD.

    Hope this helps

Que? Encode them to mpeg 2 (see AVI to DVD). Then author the 2 mpegs as 2 parts of the same title. Do not join them first. There's just trouble up that road. Install latest XviD codec. But really - no need for VirtualDub in this case.

Good for you. Sync problems, different codecs/bit rates & cetera can cause problems, and are best avoided, specially if there are ways when this step isn't needed.
