  1. I have an avi file i need to convert to mpeg2, when i convert it i lose the sound. Vdub says its a non standard VBR sound is there anyway to convert this file to mpeg2 so i can get the sound to work i want to make a dvd with it.

    any help always appreciated and any info needed i will try to provide

    Hello,

    You could use virtualdub to strip out the sound. I can't remember where it is right now but go to the audio menu and see if there's a save as option. that should at least allow you to extract it.

    you can ignore the error message in virtualdub if you convert the audio to wav/pcm or some other formats. www.videohelp.com/virtualdubaudio
