Hi all,
I have done a lot of reading and searching with no luck so here is the problem...
I have converted many caps to Divx with great success. This morning, I tried to save a step by capturing directly to divx. Using the divx option in the winfast pvr software I set the codec for multipass - first pass with the profile setup and hit record. When the record was done I ended up with the typical first pass file (black screen with PCM audio) and the log file.
I opened the first pass file in Vdub as the source and attempted to do the Nth pass with all of the settings checked and re checked. Vdub gives me an error 100 as soon as it starts to process the second pass.
Is it not possible to capture directly to multipass divx 5.1? In the past I have always had a source file (usually mpg2) to use as the input file for the first and nth passes during the conversion. This time I only have the file that the winfast pvr recorded as the first pass to use as the source for the Nth pass.
I have a feeling that I have caused myself grief trying to save a step.
Does the capture to divx option with pvr software only work for single pass capture and encode?
Thanks for any help in advance.
Jamie
